Concrete and outdoor
living services in North Texas
K4 Build Group handles the concrete and the structures that sit on it, so a single crew takes your project from demo through the final walkthrough.
One crew for the ground and everything on it
Backyard and driveway projects usually involve several trades: a concrete company, a carpenter or steel fabricator for the cover, a mason for the kitchen or fire pit, and a fence company. Each has its own schedule, its own quote and its own idea of where the work starts and stops. The gaps between them are where problems happen: posts without footings, gas lines without a path under the slab, fence posts set where the patio edge should go.
K4 Build Group was set up to close those gaps. We pour concrete, frame and build structures, lay masonry and set fences with our own crew, so every part of your project is planned on one layout and priced in one quote. You can hire us for a single driveway or a complete outdoor living space. Either way, the work is done the same way, by the same people.
Concrete patios
A patio is the foundation of everything else in the backyard, so it's worth getting right. We pour new patios and replace failing ones, with the grading, base prep, reinforcement and control joint layout that keep a slab from cracking on North Texas clay.
Choose from broom finish for everyday grip, smooth trowel for a clean modern look, exposed aggregate for texture around pools, or stamped and stained concrete that looks like stone, slate or wood. We size the patio for the furniture, grill and traffic you actually plan for, and we thicken the edges or add footings where a cover, kitchen or hot tub may go later.
Concrete driveways
Cracked, settling or just too narrow? We tear out and replace residential driveways, add widenings, extensions, parking pads and RV pads, and pour street approaches that meet the curb cleanly.
Thickness and reinforcement are matched to what you park on it, from daily drivers to work trucks, trailers and motorhomes. We repair soft subgrade before the new pour, slope the surface to shed water away from the garage, and handle the city requirements for work in the street right-of-way.
Patio covers and pergolas
Custom cedar and steel patio covers, attached to the house or freestanding, plus pergolas and shade structures. Attached covers are built to real spans, flashed properly where they tie into your roof and finished to match your roofline, so they look like part of the house instead of an add-on.
Because we pour concrete too, every post lands on a footing sized for it. Wiring for ceiling fans, lighting and heaters can be roughed in during the build so nothing is surface-mounted later.
Complete outdoor living areas
The full build: slab, cover, outdoor kitchen, fire feature, lighting, seat walls and fence, designed together and built by one crew. This is where pouring our own concrete matters most, because the pour, the post locations and the gas, power and drain lines are planned as one job instead of being negotiated between three contractors.
We can build everything at once or phase the project over time, setting sleeves and footings during the first phase so later additions don't mean cutting into new concrete.

Common questions from
North Texas homeowners
-
Resurface with an overlay when the slab is level and structurally sound but stained, worn or dated. Replace it when it has sunk, heaved, has wide or offset cracks, or holds water. Overlays bond to what's underneath, so they can't fix movement in the base. We check which one your slab needs at the free estimate.
-
A patio cover has a solid roof that blocks sun and rain and is often attached to the house. A pergola has open rafters that give partial, filtered shade and let air through. Covers cost more and usually need a permit. Pergolas are lighter structures and simpler to build.
-
Yes, when it's installed and maintained properly. Stamped concrete handles heat well and costs less than natural stone or pavers. It should be sealed after installation and resealed every 2–3 years to protect the color and surface, and joints must be planned so any cracking stays hidden in the pattern.
-
Exposed aggregate gives the best natural grip and hides wear well. Textured overlays in light colors stay the most comfortable underfoot. Stamped concrete looks the most decorative but needs a slip-resistant additive in the sealer around pools. We help you choose based on use, sun exposure and budget.
-
We can match finish and texture closely, but new gray concrete rarely matches older weathered concrete exactly at first. Where a close color match matters, we recommend a decorative border, a clean joint line or a stain or overlay across both surfaces for a consistent look.

Most of our work is residential. We also pour driveways, approaches, parking pads and flatwork for small commercial properties. Call to talk through the scope.
